BY-ELECTION FOR GRAND BAY CONSTITUENCY

The Dominican public, particularly the Grand Bay Constituency will soon know the date for a by-election to elect a new parliamentary representative.

The Constitution of Dominica states that a by-election must be held before the expiration of ninety days since the passing of the former Member of Parliament, Hon. Edward Registe.

“I know that many of you have been wondering who will replace Ed as Parliamentary Representative for the Grand Bay Constituency. Certainly, the person will have big feet to fill and must bring a high level of commitment to the people and a willingness to hear and respond to their needs. Grand Bay will need a Representative willing to put in the hard work, one who is empathetic and caring, mission driven and a creative problem solver and above all the person must love people and genuinely care about their welfare and well-being,”  Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit stated.
