The Office of Disaster Management, (ODM), is informing the public of inclement weather conditions which will be affecting Dominica from Wednesday into Saturday.
All citizens are asked to take the necessary precautions to secure lives and property.
“The Office of Disaster Management is advising the public to be vigilant as the Dominica Met Service has indicated that severe weather is projected to affect Dominica starting Wednesday June 30th and continuing into Saturday July 3rd 2021. This is as result of two active tropical waves. The public should expect delays or disruption to normal activities particularly on Friday into Saturday and should therefore make advanced plans. Of note, the second tropical wave which currently has a moderate to high chance of development could become a tropical storm in the next few days and produce tropical storm conditions across Dominica from Friday into Saturday,” stated National Disaster Coordinator, Fitzroy Pascal.
Small craft operators and sea bathers are also advised to exercise caution during these weather events.
