2nd Annual Flavours Of The World Festival Launched

The Windsor Park Sports Stadium forecourt will come alive on Sunday, September 28, 2025, as the Flavors of the World Festival returns for its second edition — blending international cuisine, live entertainment, and cultural exchange, all in support of restoring the Cathedral of Our Lady of Fairhaven.

“For 175 years, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Fairhaven has not only been a landmark of faith, but also a beacon of hope, a shelter in times of trials and storms, and a proud testament to the endurance and spirit of the people of Dominica. Now, it is our turn… to preserve and renew it for generations to come,” stated Mr. Val Cuffy.

CEO of the Discover Dominica Authority, Marva Williams, describe the event as “cultural diplomacy in action,” noting its positive economic impact in 2024.

“It was communities connecting, and it had a real economic impact — generating income for farmers, fishermen, craft vendors, restaurants, transport operators, and accommodation providers. Dominica’s story is one of connection between cultures, between people, between past and the future.”

Festival organizer and performer, Liana Leta, invited the public to experience more than just a food fair.

“Are you ready to explore different cultures, savor global flavors, and dance to incredible rhythms all in one unforgettable day? Then you should get your tickets early for the mouth-watering, high-energy event of the year.”

She promised a feast for the senses, noting “We have Jamaican jerk, Iranian grilled kebabs, Haitian food, African jollof rice, Kalinago cassava pie, Indian spices, Creole, Dominican curried rabbit, and so much more. Come hungry and leave inspired.”

The entertainment lineup will feature Michele Henderson, Lady Octave, Marie Pascale, The Swinging Stars, The Webb, reigning calypso monarch Joy, and other surprise acts. A family zone will cater to children with a bouncing castle, face painting, and interactive games.

Ms. Leta also highlighted the festival’s mission.

“This isn’t just about food and fun, it’s about community. By attending, you’re not only treating your senses, you’re sponsoring and supporting heritage… The Flavors of the World Festival 2025 is more than an event, it’s a movement, it’s culture, and it’s unity.”

Tickets are available at Bullseye Pharmacy, Depex Color Lab, NexConnect, and online at ticketandpass.com. Prices start at $20 for children and $100 for adults, with VIP packages at $250 and group discounts available until September 1.
