The accolade came from a reader’s survey as readers rated the islands on natural attractions/beaches, activities/sights, restaurants/food, people/friendliness, and value.

“As we are rebounding from the challenges of the last two years, our nature island is already making bold statements among the world’s best. It also means that our hard work and dedication over the years are paying off. Our bold rebranding, new targeted marketing approach, and our five pillar strategy of Agro-Tourism, Aqua, Adventure, Wellness and Festival and Events are all coming together to reap amazing rewards and this travel and Leisure accolade is just the beginning,” the Tourism Minister went on to state.

She noted that accolades like these are important as they will convince would be travelers to visit the island.

“All our stakeholders should also be proud of this accomplishment as their work has helped to further the development of the product and the destination experience. Dominica looks forward to more accolades which will shine a positive light on the destination and in turn inspire travelers globally to choose the Nature Island,” Hon. Charles added.
