PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The National Day Parade 2019 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 3rd November, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

The general public is hereby notified of the following guidelines with response to access to the Windsor Park Sports Stadium for the event. 

  • DIGICEL entrance is reserved for Dignitaries
  • Riverside Entrance is reserved for Awardees and their Sponsors
  • Kennedy Avenue/Bath Road entrance is reserved for persons holding white, yellow and pink invitations

All other entrances will be opened for use by the general public.

 

ANNUAL DIASPORA FORUM TO BE HELD AT JUNGLE BAY RESORT AND SPA

The Government of Dominica invites all Dominicans who have returned to the state to celebrate Dominica’s 41st Anniversary of Independence to the annual Diaspora Forum. The event will be held at the Jungle Bay Resort and Spa in Soufriere on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 10:00am. Prime Minister the Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit and other members of Cabinet will address the forum. There will also be an interactive session. All returning Dominicans are invited to attend and  be part of this event.

 

VACANCY FOR CLERK OF POINTE MICHEL VILLAGE COUNCIL

 

 

“Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Clerk, Pointe Michel Village Council.

 

Applicants should possess:

 

  • Four (4) G.C.E O Level passes (Grades A, B and C) or four (4) CXC O Level passes (General Proficiency Grades I, II and III) or (Basic Proficiency Grade I) including Mathematics and English and should:

 

  • Be skilled in Typing and in the use of computer
  • Be able to maintain proper Financial Records
  • Be able to utilize Mathematical and Accounting skills

 

One (1) year working experience in the related field and of sound character.

 

Strong oral and written communication skills along with being community oriented would also be an added advantage.              

 

Applications, with detailed Curriculum Vitae, should be submitted to the Chairman, Pointe Michel Village Council or the Department of Local Government and Community Development on High Street Roseau no later than Wednesday, November 6, 2019.”

  

WORLD CREOLE MUSIC FESTIVAL TICKET BOOTH OPENS

Tickets for the World Creole Music Festival go on sale at the Festival Ticket Booth today.  The ticket booth is located near the Government Headquarters on Kennedy Avenue and will be open from noon to 4 pm today Monday October 21, 2019 and from 9:30 am to 4 pm from Tuesday October 22, 2019.   

Tickets are available at $325 for season tickets and $120 for nightly tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at Depex, Bullseye Pharmacy and on www.ticketpal.com.

Patrons are encouraged to purchase their festival tickets early and avoid the last-minute rush.

CANADIAN FRANCOPHONE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME (PCBF) COHORT 2020

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for CIDA funded Canadian Francophone Scholarship offered under the Canadian Francophone Scholarship Programme (PCBF). 

Applicants should have a good command of both written and oral French as the scholarships are tenable only at French Canadian Universities.

Application forms, recommendations and other relevant documents including curriculum vitae are to be submitted in BOTH French and English to:
