VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Chief Procurement Officer

The Ministry of Finance invites applications from suitable qualified persons to fill the position of

Chief Procurement Officer.

 

Core Functions

Under the supervision of the Financial Secretary, the Chief Procurement Officer will serve as Secretary to the Central Procurement Board; manages and supervises the Central Procurement Unit, facilitates the procurement process for the Government, ensures that all stakeholders are aware of the procurement processing of goods and services and undertakes activities of a coordinating and managerial nature as assigned by the Financial Secretary.

 

Qualification and Experience

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Management or related field.  A post graduate qualification in Project Management or other related discipline with experience in public procurement would be an advantage, and should have at least 7 years experience in a management field.

 

Renumeration

Salary will be at (F) in the Pay Scale at the rate of $59, 158.71 per annum.

A basic travelling allowance will be paid at the rate of $8, 685.50 per annum.

 

Tenure

Position is on the permanent establishment.
