About GIS

The Government Information Service, GIS, is the Public Relations and Information Arm of the Government.

Its main goals are to manage the corporate identity and image of the Government, to disseminate information on all government departments and to inform the general public at home and overseas of Government’s plans, policies, programmes and activities.

GIS achieves its goals through various programmes in radio, television and print production as well as other public relations and information services.

OUR MISSION

The Government Information Service is the link between Government and the public in Dominica and abroad. GIS promotes and disseminates information on the State and its affiliates, policies, plans and programmes through print, radio and television and multimedia information service, upholding the highest standard of practice.

VISION

The Government Information Service seeks to deliver professional multimedia information service and to become a Public Broadcasting Entity.

GIS is headed by the Director.
