Member of Parliament for the Roseau South Constituency, Honourable Chekira Lockhart Hypolite says numerous roads have been rehabilitated in the constituency making access within the constituency much easier.

“Over the past year, we have seen several roads within the constituency rehabilitated to include Upper Castle Comfort, Madral, Kingshill, Wall House, Giraudel and Elmshall,” Honourable Hypolite stated.  

The Roseau South MP noted that close to a quarter million dollars has been spent on housing in that constituency for the past financial year.

Work was also done on a multi-purpose court in Bath Estate which is geared at encouraging sporting activities among the youth.

Honourable Hypolite highlighted numerous other gestures which took place by Government over the past year.

“Over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars was invested in the purchase of textbooks at all levels and thirty five students were given assistance to pursue tertiary education through online studies or overseas. Over one hundred farmers across the constituency benefited through a fertilizer assistance programme, and fisher folk in Newtown are excited about ongoing works at the Newtown Fishing Facility which is 90 percent complete. I am pleased to announce though most of you would have already noticed that the land has been prepared and construction of the new Newtown Health and Wellness Center within a few weeks.” Hon. Hypolite added.
