The Ministry of National Security and Home Affairs has announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Alleyne as the new Director of the Legal Aid Clinic.
The appointment will take effect on September 1, 2020.
Minister for National Security and Home Affairs Honourable Rayburn Blackmoore says the appointment was made due to the need for strong leadership to ensure harmonization in keeping with the goals of the ministry.
“In response to the need of a larger staff complement to serve the public and the need for strong leadership to ensure harmonization with the goals of this administration, I am pleased to welcome Attorney-at-Law, Peter Alleyne to the staff complement of the Ministry of National Security and Home Affairs. Mr. Alleyne will be the new Director of the Legal Aid Clinic from the 1st of September 2020. Mr. Alleyne is highly repected in his field and is held in high esteem by all who know him. I am confident that Mr. Alleyne will bring the prestige and wealth of knowledge befitting to such an office. Under his stewardship, a review of the services and the fee structure will be undertaken,” Honourable Blackmoore stated.
