The Government Dominica through the Ministry of Employment, Trade, Industry and Diaspora Affairs will once again interact with overseas based Dominicans who are visiting the country at this time of year for our 34th Independence Celebration.
The meeting will take place on the grounds of the Windsor Park Stadium and will be held on Wednesday October 31st from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm near the player’s pavilion.
It is hoped that emanating out of this year’s meeting our overseas based nationals and local manufacturers will seek to establish joint ventures for the production and export of nostalgic products to niche markets in their host countries.
At this diaspora forum, overseas based nationals will hear addresses from Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, Hon. Dr. Collin McIntyre Minister for Employment, Trade, Industry and Diaspora Affairs and will also have the opportunity to interact with other members of cabinet during the interactive session. The activity will be chaired by Secretary to the Cabinet Ambassador Steve Ferrol and will also hear discussions on the possible launch of a diaspora website.
The Government of Dominica continues to place great value and emphasis on the contribution of our overseas nationals.
