She made special mention of the introduction of National Emblem Week.
“The introduction of the National Emblem Week, this year will create a greater awareness and appreciation of the symbols of nationhood. As the cultural competitions unfold I encourage our citizens to attend the events in large numbers. Pay homage to those activities and to our symbols of nationhood. Our national anthem must be sung with pride and reverence. The national flag must be carried with pride and honor. Promote and wear our national wear with dignity.
Let us embrace our local cuisine and dances. All of these demonstrate our resilience and pride for our nation and support to the many persons involved in this industry,” Hon Charles emphasized.
