On Wednesday, September 28th, the Hon. National Security Minister and the Chinese Ambassador signed the procedure for 19 vehicles which will be used to support national security efforts of the Dominica Police Force and the Fire and Ambulance Services in Dominica.
This signing is a follow-up of an agreement established in 2015 between the Government of Dominica and the People’s Republic of China.
Honourable Blackmoore disclosed, “Six ambulances will go to the Fire Department since they provide a very useful service to the Ministry of Health.”
A modern fire truck, a minibus and five vans will be utilised by the police force and six military trucks will boost the efficiency of the Special Services Unit.
“I’m very happy for that,” he said.
The National Security Minister expressed his profound gratitude for the vehicles which he feels will positively impact the work of the Police Force and Fire and Ambulance services.
He says the people of Dominica should be able to look for better service delivery from both the police and the fire and ambulance service.
