Dr. Kenneth Darroux, Hon Minister for Health and the Environment while celebrating the 20th anniversary of formal ties between Dominica and Cuba extends heartfelt good wishes to the island state.
He began by discussing the developing relationship between Cuba and the United States.
He hopes, along with the population of Dominica, that those talks grow and expand to the benefit of the Cuban people.
“I really wish them well because those of us who visited Cuba and know the struggles that the Cuban people faced know that they deserve a lot. They are very hardworking and innovative people and they deserve some economic emancipation.
“I’m really hoping that pretty soon the US Government will finally decide to lift the embargo. I really wish their new relations well,” Dr. Darroux told GIS News.
He went further to extend good wishes to revolutionary former Cuba leader, Fidel Castro and his successor and brother, Raul Castro.
“I really would like to wish Fidel Castro well I know he is in now his twilight years. I also want to say kudos to his brother, Raul who took up right where Fidel left off.”
