Corporate citizens are being called on to assist Government to rebuild the island.
That call came from the Hon. Parliamentary Representative for the Castle Bruce Constituency, Johnson Drigo.
“The task of rebuilding Dominica is not going to be easy. I say to the corporate citizens out there, especially those who may not have been directly affected by Tropical Storm Erika, please continue to play your part. Just help one family…and let’s continue to work together to build Dominica by supporting each other and most importantly, the most needy among us who were affected by Erika,” he said.
Over 800 homes were destroyed by mud slides and flooding associated with the passage of Tropical Storm Erika.
Losses and damage as well as reconstruction costs exceed $1.2.
He was speaking at a handing over ceremony of a house on Wednesday, October 7th.
